Apple announces 4th-gen iPad with 128GB for $799
As per usual, the rumours were true. Apple’s gone and announced a new, 128GB version of its 4th-gen Retina Display iPad for the low, low price of US$799 (WiFi only) or US$929 (WiFi plus cellular). Both versions will be on sale at retail and online Apple stores.
More capacity means more videos, music, and games. And at 128GB, it’s now the tablet with the most possible onboard storage. Here’s what Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, had to say about the new, massive-storage iPad 4.
“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs. With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
It’s the same iPad 4, but with more memory. Outside of that it is the same sexy 9.7-inches, the same A6X CPU, a FaceTime HD camera and iOS 6.1. The new 128GB iPad can be purchased from 5 February in either white or black.
