Windows Phone 7.8 turns Lumia phones into so much more
A multitude of new features have been added to Lumia phones running on Windows 7.5, as an updated Windows Phone OS started rolling out yesterday to certain Nokia Lumia phones.
As reported by Conversations by Nokia, Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 owners will now have a host of features added that will include various camera features and imaging enhancements, and the release of apps like Contact Share, Play To and Nokia City Lens.
The first change has been to the start screen, which now gives users the ability to change the size of tiles to their liking, as well as improved child lock screen security. Users can also have a Bing wallpaper that will change on a daily basis and the ability to share via Internet and Bluetooth has also been added as a feature. While not really considered by some as an essential feature, additional language support has also been added.
The most exciting changes and additions have been to the camera utility, where Camera Extras will allow users to take action shot and Smart Group shots with a self-timer if they wish to do so. Panorama stitching, a feature similar to the panorama feature on the iPhone 4S and 5, is also now available.
The update began rolling out on 30 January and will continue through February.
