Volkswagen has rolled out four new versions of the Beetle at the New York International Auto Show.
Each of the new models has a different theme, meant to represent a different kind of lifestyle.

The Beetle Cabriolet Denim for instance is all about the colour blue. The body color “Stonewashed Blue Metallic” and the soft top in dark blue with a special fabric texture both make a visual reference to jeans.
The “Habanero Orange Metallic” Beetle Wave meanwhile is meant to reflect the American spirit on the East and West coast beaches of the USA. Volkswagen says this is reflected in the convertible’s interior, which features fabric patterns inspired by the 1950s and 60s in the design of the center seat panels. There is also a genuine wood dashpad that is designed in “traditional surfboard style”.
If you like life to be a little more candy-coloured, you might consider the Beetle Pink Edition. This coupé comes in “Pink Metallic”, a colour designed to contrast with exterior and interior elements in black, chrome and aluminum look.
And if you’re less about looks than performance, there’s the Beetle R-Line Concept. It’s powered by a 2.0 TSI engine that produces 162 kW of power. There’s also a diffuser, a large rear spoiler, and bucket seats.
