Subaru has unveiled a pretty insane-looking new concept at the New York Auto Show, although it’s not entirely clear to what purpose.

The BRZ STI Performance Concept had many of the journalists at the show baffled before it came out from under its wraps, something which was only slightly lessened once it had been revealed.
If the concept is about STI performance bits, Subaru hasn’t provided any details. It could also be a new model because, as Carscoops notes, there are a few design changes including more angular lights at both the front and back.
Among the other design tweaks are expanded fenders and side skirts, the kind of rear wing your average boy racer could only ever dream about owning, new bumpers and more prominent rear diffuser.
There are also apparently a host of interior changes, including bucket seats, carbon trim and a new steering wheel with a racing display.
