Lexus ES sedan teased ahead of big Beijing debut
Car companies are so naughty these days. Not only are their wares teased in similar fashion to smartphones and other tech, they’re also extremely coy about it all. Take Lexus for example.
The Japanese luxury brand today unveiled teasers of its Lexus ES sedan, which is set to be launched at the Beijing Motor Show next week. But do you think the firm gave us any specifications?
Well, no. But it did give us this 19 second clip of pure, unadulterated flirtation.
Boasting the firm’s now trademark slashed grille and swept back LED headlights, the car will compete on the world stage against the likes of BMW’s 5-series, and Mercedes’ E-Class.
It’s also said to share hardware with its Toyota Avalon cousin, which could mean a 3.5-litre V8 powerplant mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
On the aesthetic front at least, the car looks more confident than ever before.
The ES is coming to South Africa later this year, but we’ll know more about its undercarriage and cabin come 25 April 2018.
