This video will make you feel serious empathy for crash test dummies

Chances are you don’t spend all that much time thinking about crash test dummies. You might occasionally take the time to appreciate what they’ve done for car safety over the years but, in all likelihood, you don’t think of them in the same way as you would an actual person.

That could change though, especially once you’ve watched this video from Malek Rizkallah which imagines what would happen if crash test dummies came to life just prior to impact.

Made for Rizkalleh’s final project of the 3D Animation and Visual Effects program in Vancouver Film School, the video features a VW Sirocco and is apparently inspired by his own experiences throughout 2013.
