After nine years, Bethesda Softworks and ID Software has finally announce a new Quake title: Quake Champions.
This multiplayer title is a competitive area-style shooter for “players of all skill levels,” and is designed for eSports in mind. It will include a diverse cast of characters with unique styles and attributes, according to ID Software.
The game will feature 120hz and unlocked frame rates.
There is no word yet on any singly-player campaigns.
ID Software will announce more of the game at QuakeCon in August.
The last Quake game released, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, was available on PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
