Gamers on current generation consoles are finally going to be able to play Skyrim in the form of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.
Announced during its E3 conference, Bethesda Softworks has finally given out details on the much-speculated release.
The Special Edition will include upgraded and remastered textures, such as god rays, dynamic lighting, and new water effects. Character models weren’t show off, but expect them to still be creepy mannequins.
It will also include the addition of mod support. Players will be able to download and install modifications for Skyrim, similar to Fallout 4 on current generation consoles — sorry Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers.
This package is similar to the Legendary Edition on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, which includes the base game and all of the additional DLC content.
If you already own Skyrim or the Legendary Edition on PC, then you’ll receive a free upgrade to the Special Edition on Steam as well.
If you own #Skyrim and all its add-ons or own Legendary Edition on Steam, you’ll get a free upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition on Oct 28 #BE3
