Sunrise calendar introduces Meet, the fastest way to schedule a one-to-one
Gone are the days of diaries and scheduling things with a pen. Let’s face it, a calendar that sends you a notification when your event is close is better than one that does not. Sunrise, the calendar app acquired by Microsoft in early February, has released a new feature called Meet.
Meet is a keyboard for Android and iOS that lets users select available time slots in their Sunrise calendar without leaving the app they are in. After setting an event, users can email the link to someone else. Meet is a fast way to schedule one-to-one meetings.
Meet is meant to make scheduling far easier than it has been in the past. The app will enable users to spend more time meeting people than scheduling meetings, says the app. This is the first new feature Sunrise has released since the acquisition. It is interesting that Microsoft has not done much to tamper with the already existing features of Sunrise, like its integration with Google calendar.

The way that the keyboard works is that users can open it up from any app, pick the time and day that they would like to meet. This is convenient as it is only done with a tap and there is no need to enter any other details.
The app also stresses that users should not worry about privacy. “Meet lets you share available time slots of your choice. And that’s all. No one will see any events from your calendar,” it says.
The Meet feature is currently available on desktop and the web, with support for group meetings coming down the pipeline in a future update.
To get Meet, update the Sunrise app and it will guide you through how to set it up.
