John Malkovich uses Siri and it’s kinda creepy [Video]
If there’s one thing that John Malkovich excels at, it’s playing John Malkovich. He reprises that role in two ads for Apple’s voice assistant app Siri.
The first features the logo of US carrier Verizon, and features the actor using Siri to find out about the weather, search for restaurants, and to tell a joke. Malkovich appears to find the joke hilarious, which is worrying.
The second ad, which has AT&T’s logo on it, shows Malkovich asking Siri for advice and then complementing her in what appears to be an awkward attempt at flirtation.
We’re not sure about anyone else, but both ads just made us cringe with embarrassment. What has Malkovich’s life amounted to that he sits around in a big lounge talking to his iPhone all day?
Come to think of it, Apple’s other recent ads, starring Zooey Deschanel and Samuel L Jackson didn’t exactly portray them as social butterflies either. Screw Siri’s features, Apple is trying to tell us that Hollywood celebrities are desperately lonely!
