New Daily Maverick site goes live
Regular Memeburn readers may recall that we got a sneak preview of the new Daily Maverick site a few weeks back. Today the South African-based investigative news outfit’s site is live.
What we saw in the sneak preview is more or less what the Daily Maverick has given us. The site eschews the option of having as much of its content showing at one time as possible. Instead it’s gone for a minimalist, linear, more blog-like approach.

The Daily Maverick is edited by SA media veteran Branko Brkic and was launched after the collapse of Maverick Magazine in 2008. Investment company World of Avatar — which also owns youth-based social network MXit — has invested heavily in the site.
