Check out what happens when this guy meets his Facebook friends in real life

You might be one of those people who curates their social networks very carefully, in which case it’s likely that you’ve actually met all (or nearly all) of your Facebook friends. Some people however aren’t so cautious and accept friend requests from anyone who appears in their feed.

So what would happen if those people had to meet one of their Facebook friends in real life? That’s what comedian Greg Benson decided to find out when he filmed the pilot for a reality TV prank series that sees him pitch up unannounced at the homes of some of his more distant Facebook “friends”.

The results are pretty varied, ranging from a guy who refuses to even let him past the gate to a couple of instances of seemingly genuine warmth. While it’s unclear how many of the latter came about because Benson had a camera crew following him around, it’s nice to think that there are a few basically decent people in the world. Still, it’s probably worth going through your list of friends and eliminating the ones you have no actual connection with.
