This payday video will make you feel better about your spending
Alright, payday is on the horizon and we are all on food rations or cutting out food stamps. Don’t worry though, it’s not just you. The team behind the popular South African Rebecca Black, Hipsters & Hashtags and Eminem parodies has come up with a song for your pre-payday blues.
Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues poke fun at young twenty-somethings and their tendency to live from paycheck to paycheck, spending outlandishly on payday only to regret not saving later in the month.
The video follows city boys who live it up on payday, spending their money on momentary pleasures only to be hit by reality days later. It doesn’t seem that they have learnt any real lessons as, come the next payday, they do it all over again.
For this new instalment, the duo features some choice South African celebrities who have been “hired” to appear such as: Jack Parow, Jeannie D, former Miss South Africa Cindy Nell and The Kiffness.
The team has enjoyed some serious YouTube success with their videos, the most notable and recent being the Walter White Facebook video. Check out the Payday video below.
