5 examples of Hyperlapse turning everyday moments into smooth exciting time lapses
Photo-editing company Instagram, has just launched a new app called Hyperlapse. This is the second standalone app released by the Facebook-owned mobile photo company with Snapchat competitor Bolt having launched last month.
Unlike Bolt, Hyperlapse has already received great feedback, turning everyday commutes into exciting short films.
Essentially, the app enables people to take time lapse videos with their iPhones for as long as 45 seconds. These videos can then be sped up from 1x to 12x to create short, arty films of moments in your life.
The real beauty of this product lies within its technology. As Instagram explains, Hyperlapse features built-in stabilisation technology that lets you create moving, handheld time lapses. These videos will give you a cinematic look, quality and feel the same way expensive camera equipment would.
“From documenting your whole commute in seconds or the preparation of your dinner from start to finish to capturing an entire sunset as it unfolds, we’re thrilled about the creative possibilities Hyperlapse unlocks,” Instagram writes in a blog post.
You can make your boring daily commute look like a freakin’ music video or a short Baraka documentary. Here are some amateur examples of seemingly monotonous everyday moments jazzed up a bit to make them look super sleek.
