Twitter reactions mixed as Malema trial postponed
Julius Malema appeared at the Polokwane High Court in South Africa on charges of fraud, money laundering and racketeering related to a Limpopo roads tender.
His upcoming trial has garnered much media attention, but Malema was in court for only short time before the case was postponed to 3 August 2015.
Malema then walked out of the court and addressed his supporters, who the night before had gathered at a vigil in Limpopo before making their way outside the court in the morning, chanting and ululating in support of their leader. Everyone else took their thoughts to Twitter. On the social network, reactions were mixed. There was disgust, astonishment, celebration and confusion. We round them up.
