Facebook introduces a novel way to let you ‘Say Thanks’
Facebook has introduced Say Thanks, a feature that lets users create personalised video cards for their friends. According to the social network, Say Thanks has been created because, “Your friends are at the core of your Facebook experience, and we are always looking for new ways to help you celebrate those friendships”.
The feature is designed to let users share a Say Thanks video with a close friend, their other half, a relative, a colleague, an old friend from high school, an ex-partner, or their parents – in short, any Facebook friend. There is also no limit to how many personalised videos can be posted.
To create a Say Thanks video, visit facebook.com/thanks. Once there, choose a friend and Facebook will generate a preview of the video. It then hands the power back to you to select a different theme and allows you to edit photos and posts.
You can create the montage of chosen memories, and when you are satisfied with the video you then click “share”. You will also get an option to write a personalised message before posting. Once everything is complete, the video will post on your Timeline and the recipient will be tagged.
Facebook began rolling out Say Thanks yesterday on both desktop and mobile.
