75 of the biggest mobile innovations of 2015

Global mobile trade body, Mobile Ecosystem Forum, has revealed the finalists for the 12th annual Meffys – the international awards for recognising commercial success and rewarding innovation across the mobile ecosystem.

After two years in Silicon Valley, the Meffys return to the UK – highlighting London’s world-class tech city and mobile credentials. The competition has attracted entries from over 30 countries across 15 award categories that encompass Innovation, Market and Sector Awards.

In 2015, the organisers say, “the Meffys will reward pioneers in Mobile-First Markets, FinTech and Consumer First innovation alongside trailblazers in Consumer Trust, mHealth and Mobile Money, demonstrating the importance of an inclusive, trusted mobile ecosystem which continues to expand across new markets and sectors”.

Judged by an independent panel of 40 journalists, analysts, accelerators and VCs from around the globe, the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 19 October 2015 in London.

Rimma Perelmuter, MEF’s CEO said: “Now in their 12th year, the Meffys are the mobile ecosystem’s established barometer for recognising success and innovation globally. This year’s record number of entries from diverse market sectors and 30 countries demonstrates the continued acceleration of innovation and transformation in the mobile ecosystem.”
