Twitter introduces Fabric mobile app for developers, with real time updates
Twitter has released its newest app, aimed at developers. The Fabric app allows developers to monitor various analytics and diagnostics about their applications, beyond the usual download number and reported faults, all in real time.
The app has been adopted from its web based variant, where up to now, developers could only access on a web. What is vastly different about the app is that developers can get real time updates with push notifications on the go and do not have to wait for when they go to the web. Twitter says that the push notifications will focus on the most important updates. Developers with more than one app, can customise the notifications on a per-app basis.

In a blog post, Meekal Bajaj, Product Manager at Twitter, said
“The Fabric mobile app makes it easy for you to know what’s going on with your app. We sift through millions of events every day to intelligently give you the most important information. And starting today, our real-time alerting system will send you a push notification when something critical is affecting your app”
The app offers developers insights into how many users are affected by an issue as well as which platforms and specific devices, all in real time. The app has been optimised to send push notifications for the most critical issues but developers can also choose to which notifications to receive.
