Assassin’s Creed movie trailer: no one expects the Spanish Inquisition
It’s time to step into the Animus for the very first Assassin’s Creed movie trailer. If you don’t know what an Animus is then it’s time to catch up.
That’s right, Ubisoft’s ever popular kill-everyone-because-we-are-the-good-guys series is heading towards the big screen. Starring young Magneto (Michael Fassbender), his character is apparently ‘dead’ according to the government (aren’t we all?) and is now being held captive at Abstergo Industries. Why? Because his ancestor held some sort of secret during the Spanish Inquisition.
No one expected that!
Jokes aside, the movie looks like a decent adaptation of the video game series, and taking on a new character is a good idea as well. The trailer show’s off series-stables, like public executions, eagles, and vantage points. I must admit the CGI could use a bit more polish.
The trailer’s backing track, supplied by Kanye West, doesn’t quite fit in either.
But you be the judge. Watch the full trailer below.
