State Capture Report: SA politicians, parties react on Twitter
The rather lengthy and eagerly anticipated State Capture Report has finally been made available for all to view. So what were some of the biggest findings?
Well, the Public Protector found that President Jacob Zuma may have broken the Executive Ethics Code multiple times. The report also features Eskom CEO Brian Molefe numerous times, revealing that he had many phone calls with the Gupta family.
There are many more findings to be had, but Thuli Madonsela ultimately called on Zuma to initiate a commission of inquiry, with the head chosen by Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.
So then, what did South Africa’s political role-players and parties make of the report? Here are some of the key tweets.
Wow! Can see why Accused number 1, Van Rooyen and Zwane wanted to keep this PP report under wraps!! How can the ANC continue to defend this!

At the very least, top ranking ANC members should be planning a late night ‘recall’ visit to Pres Zuma as they did in 2008 to Pres Mbeki. https://t.co/ZRlcnqvpX9
