A list of Kevin Spacey’s sexual misconduct accusers so far

Amid mass claims of sexual misconduct actor Kevin Spacey has been “suspended” from House of Cards (he’s essentially fired), and his film All the Money in the World is reportedly being held from awards circuits.

According to reps, Spacey is undergoing “evaluation and treatment” — but for what, exactly?

These are the accusations levelled against the Oscar winner so far.

Anthony Rapp

Claim: Climbed on him as a minor

Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp was the first to speak out about Spacey’s unwanted sexual advances.

Rapp told Buzzfeed News that in 1986, when he was 14 and Spacey 26, the older actor picked him up, dropped him on a bed, and drunkenly lay over him. Rapp managed to squirm away, and Spacey asked him if he was sure he wanted to leave.

Rapp said he was telling the story now, not to “simply air a grievance”, but also to “to try to shine another light on the decades of behaviour that have been allowed to continue because [of] many people, including myself, being silent”.

Harry Dreyfuss

Claim: Grabbed crotch

Harry Dreyfuss, son of actor Richard Dreyfuss, accused Spacey of groping him when he was an 18-year-old high school senior.

In 2008, Spacey was directing his father in a play. When Dreyfuss went with to Spacey’s apartment to run lines, the older man started making advances by holding the teenager’s hand out of sight of his father.

When Spacey put his hand on Dreyfuss’s thigh, the young man got up and walked across the room. Spacey followed him and repeated the gesture, this time allowing his fingers to creep up and grab his crotch.

“I stopped reading the script and my eyes went wide,” Dreyfuss writes. “I lifted up my head and faced him. Looking into his eyes, I gave the most meager shake of my head that I could manage.” Spacey ignored him.

Roberto Cavazos

Claim: “unpleasant encounters”

Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos said in a Facebook post that he had “a couple of unpleasant encounters with Spacey that were on the edge of being called harassment”.

“There are many of us who have a ‘Kevin Spacey story’. It seems that it only took a male under 30 to make Mr Spacey feel free to touch us. It was so common that it even became a local joke (in very bad taste).”

Cavazos elaborated on how Spacey would lure in these younger men.

“When they arrived at the theater, the gentleman had prepared a picnic with champagne on the stage, beautifully lit. Each story varied in how far the picnic came, but the technique was the same.”

Daniel Beal

Claim: Flashed and bribed

Daniel Beal, a British barman, told The Sun that Spacey flashed his genitalia at him in 2010, when Beal was 19.

“It’s big, isn’t it?” the actor asked of his penis. He then allegedly tried to silence Beal by giving him his £5000 (now over R93 000) watch. Beal says he sold the watch soon after, fearing Spacey’s people would ask for it back, which they eventually did.

Tony Montana

Claim: Grabbed his crotch

Filmmaker Tony Montana told RadarOnline that Spacey grabbed his crotch in a bar in 2003.

According to Montana, Spacey told him that this action “designates ownership”, and later pursued him into the restroom. Montana says he pushed the man out of the room and told Spacey’s friends to take him home.

Kris Nixon

Claim: Grabbed his crotch, continued proposition

Kris Nixon says that when he was 20-year-old barman, he went to a party at Spacey’s apartment with a girl he was seeing.

When she left the room, Nixon claims Spacey crawled up next to him, grabbed his crotch, and said, “I could blow you better than her”.

A few weeks later, Spacey reappeared at his bar and allegedly followed Nixon down to the basement. Nixon says the man grabbed his waistband, and “mumbled some sort of half apology and said he could make it up to me”. Nixon shouldered past him.

Justin Dawes

Claim: Watched porn with him as a minor

Justin Dawes told BuzzFeed News that when he 16 and Spacey 29, the older actor invited him and a friend over to his apartment to watch a film.

When the teenagers arrived, Spacey was watching porn. No one else was there, and the three sat and watched during a party that was “cringey” but “benign”.

Mark Ebenhoch

Claim: Propositioned by assistant

Also speaking to BuzzFeed News, Mark Ebenhoch referenced his own uncomfortable encounter with Spacey.

Ebenhoch was working as a military advisor on the set of Outbreak in 1995 when he says Spacey’s assistant asked him to join the actor in his trailer.

“They asked flat out to engage in a sexual act. It was enough to stun me,” Ebenhoch said. Ebenhoch — now openly gay — feigned disgust so that no one could guess his sexual orientation, which could have ruined his military reputation.

House of Cards crew members

Claim: Created toxic environment, grabbed crotch

Eight people who currently work on House of Cards, or have done so previously, spoke to CNN about the “toxic” work environment Spacey created. The crew members cited inappropriate touching and crude comments.

A former production assistant claims Spacey assaulted him when lifting him to set. He says that Spacey, who was driving, put his hands down his pants. The assistant says he’d previously told a supervisor that he was being harassed, to which the supervisor suggested just never being alone in a room with the actor.

“I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him and that my experience was one of many and that Kevin had few if any qualms about exploiting his status and position,” the assistant told CNN.

An anonymous journalist

Claim: Grabbed crotch

In the early 2000s, a journalist was invited clubbing with Spacey after an interview. At the club, he says Spacey repeatedly grabbed his crotch.

When trying to leave, Spacey allegedly raged at the man.

“This man was screaming in my face outside of the main bar area, red-faced, spit flying out of his mouth, screaming at me with fury because I didn’t want to fuck him,” he told BuzzFeed News. “He was actually saying that I did want to and I was a coward.”

An anonymous artist

Claim: Entered into sexual relationship at 14, attempted rape

An artist told Vulture that he entered into a sexual relationship with Spacey when he was 14 and the actor 24.

The relationship ended after three or four encounters when the artist claims Spacey tried to rape him.

“He is a pedophile,” the artist says, denouncing Spacey’s use of coming out of the closet to dilute press about his alleged interest in young boys.

An anonymous 23-year-old

Claim: Woke up to fellatio

According to The Sun, British police are investigating claims by a 23-year-old that he woke up to Spacey performing fellatio on him in 2008.

It is alleged that the two had smoked weed and passed out before the accuser woke up to the assault.

“John”, an anonymous accuser

Claim: Woke up to head on stomach

An anonymous accuser, dubbed John by the BBC, says that, after declining Spacey’s advances, he found himself waking up to the actor’s head on his stomach.

“He was in his underwear, I was fully clothed. I supposed it was some sort of New York theatre actor ‘good morning’,” he said.
