Toy Story 2 is no longer the best rated film on Rotten Tomatoes
Toy Story 2 has been ousted as review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes’ number one by none other than Greta Gerwig’s coming-of-age comedy drama Lady Bird.
While both films — along with many others — have a perfect 100% rating, Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 2 received only 163 fresh reviews, while Lady Bird is sitting on 170 as of writing.
Record broken! With 164 Fresh reviews and 0 Rotten, #LadyBird now tops the list of 100% movies with the most amount of reviews at 164. Congrats to Greta Gerwig and @A24

Of course, just one negative review will drop the film down to a 99% — like Armond White’s did for Get Out — but it seems unlikely (especially considering the staunchly critical White himself enjoyed the film).
Lady Bird tells of young Christine who stubbornly fights against her all-too-similar mother. According to its official synopsis, the film is an “affecting look at the relationships that shape us, the beliefs that define us, and the unmatched beauty of a place called home”.
Lady Bird is Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut; she has acted in the likes of Jackie, 20th Century Woman, and Mistress America. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Odeya Rush, and Laurie Metcalf (who voiced Andy’s mom in the Toy Story films).
But don’t get too excited: the film only premieres in South Africa on 4 May 2018. Which, frankly, is just rude.
