WhatsApp could finally be getting a long-awaited ‘dark mode’

WhatsApp enthusiast blog WABetaInfo reports that the Facebook-owned chat app could soon receive a dark UI on Android.
The feature will introduce the option for a dark interface, rather than the standard white and bright green version. It’s commonly known as “night mode” on apps like Twitter.
According to the website, the feature is currently exclusive to WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.19.85.
Dark mode for Android is still is in development, and the company is yet to reveal a possible roll out date.
