‘It’s going to happen’: Sonic The Hedgehog will be redesigned after internet outcry
The makers of Sonic The Hedgehog have heard the internet’s cry after the first official trailer for the live-action movie was met with heavy criticism earlier this week.
Many fans simply hated the way Sonic looked in the upcoming film, with his long legs, human teeth and strange eyes.
After the people of Twitter took it upon themselves to correct the video-game character’s design, the movie’s director Jeff Fowler addressed the situation.
“The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen,” Fowler said in a tweet.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast 🔧✌️

This means that Sonic will get a whole knew look before the movie is officially released.

Undoubtedly, reworking the CGI on a whole movie will be no easy feat. Sonic The Hedgehog is still, however, set for release in November 2019 so the team has the best part of the year to give Sonic the movie debut he deserves.
