Avengers: Endgame will be re-released in South Africa on 12 July
Not content with second place on the most lucrative movie in history list, Disney and Marvel are re-releasing Avengers: Endgame worldwide and in South Africa.
From 12 July, the three-hour flick will include a “video introduction” by one half of the Russo director duo, Anthony. The showing will also include “an unfinished deleted scene from the film, as well as a sneak peek of Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home, for those will have yet to see it following it’s 3 July release,” the companies announced in a release.
Notably, only the following cinemas in South Africa will be participating in the re-release:
Ster-Kinekor:
- Gateway
- Kolonnade
- Capegate
- Parow
- Cresta
- The Zone @ Rosebank
- Irene
- Mall of Africa
- Sterland
- Eastgate

- Galleria
- Menlyn Park
- Clearwater

Independent:

Even if it fails to topple Avatar globally, Avengers: Endgame can still claim to be the second most lucrative movie ever released in South Africa, garnering R101-million since its debut more than six weeks ago. Marvel Studios’ Black Panther still holds the top spot.
