Disney drops first live-action ‘Lady and the Tramp’ trailer
Disney on Saturday released the first official trailer for the live-action version of Lady and the Tramp, which will stream exclusively on the company’s upcoming Disney+ streaming service when it launches towards the end of this year.
The remake stars Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux as voice actors for the movie’s leading dogs, who happen to be quite real, unlike the animals in Disney’s The Lion King.
The trailer reveals warm, classic moments based on the original 1955 animation, and fades off just before the iconic spaghetti-kiss scene.
Of course, this leaves us wondering if Disney is capable of recreating the romance with a pair of real dogs and 21st-century technology.
Lady and the Tramp will stream on Disney+ starting 12 November 2019.
