In its drive to be your premier audio streaming service, Spotify is now letting users add podcasts to playlists.
This means users can now build playlists containing both tracks and playlists, or simply a long roll of your favourite playlists for drive-time playback.

It follows the company’s drive towards podcasting, which it sees as a lucrative business.
Adding podcasts to a playlist includes the same steps you’d follow to add songs.
Find a podcast you like. Tap on the three-dot button alongside it, select “Add to playlist” and add it to a new or pre-made list.
Users can also share podcast playlists, similarly to how Spotify allows users to share playlists of songs.
“If you’re using Spotify on your computer desktop, you can stream the playlists you’ve made on mobile that include podcasts. You just can’t make a playlist with a podcast in it from your desktop,” Spotify adds.
This addition comes after the company launched two new pre-made playlists for those who love to repeat tracks or used to love.
The feature is now available at the time of writing.
