South Africa’s ‘KFC couple’ will get married on New Year’s Eve

South Africans are once again fawning over the couple that got engaged at a KFC a few weeks ago after the pair announced their second wedding date.

Fondly known as “The National Couple”, Hector Mkansi and Nonhlanhla Soldaat first made headlines when KFC tweeted a video of the former getting down on one knee at a branch.

“Mzansi please help us find this beautiful couple,” the company tweeted in hopes of getting in touch with “a finger-lickin’ Good surprise”.

Since finding the lovebirds, who have already tied the knot, KFC and many other South African brands pledged to give the pair their dream wedding with everything from cows, to beer, investment accounts and even a wedding planner.

After news of the official wedding date got out, South Africa couldn’t resist expressing their excitement for the #KFCcouple’s special day.

As for that special date? The couple will get married this New Year’s Eve.
