Match.com’s Tinder now has 5.7m subscribers
Dating service Tinder now has more than five-million subscribers, according to its parent company Match.com’s latest financial report per Reuters.
Tinder drew in 437 000 average subscribers in Q3 2019, bringing its total to 5.7-million. Despite the addition to its subscription base, the number is lower than the previous quarter.
It benefitted from a 29% rise in subscribers from non-US markets, too.
Match.com, which also owns PlentyOfFish and OkCupid, saw total revenue rise by 22% in Q3 2019.
The company has, however, noted that Q4 2019 probably won’t be a highlight. It expects Q4 revenue to fall below analyst’s predictions, which in turn pushed its share price some 16% lower on Wednesday.
