Weekly Round Up #9: Trevor Noah’s Twitter fracas, April Fools’, iFix and Mercedes-Benz pick up
Today is the last day of work, before we take to the Easter Holiday. As usual though we’ve rounding up the week in tech for your listening pleasure. This week was always going to be one with good laughs, given that it included 1 April. The internet did not disappoint, dishing up funny and made up stories. Memeburn wrote its own and Gearburn rounded up the best April Fools’ articles in the technology space.
The biggest news this week however came on Monday, when Trevor Noah was announced as the next host of The Daily Show. Not long after, people began to dig into his old tweets and exposed him with his tweets that were in bad taste. As the team explains though, that might not be a bad thing.
Other than that, Ventureburn published an article on iFix, on Motorburn, Mercedes-Benz announced its own bakkie, and Gearburn amassed a few expletives for running an April Fools’ article.
