Memeburn is seeking two talented and driven writing interns who are especially passionate about social media, the digital industry and technology in general. We’re looking for someone dynamic and dedicated to become part of our growing editorial team in Cape Town for a three-to-six month paid internship.
Job Detail
- Writing tech-savvy news and feature stories, including reviews, on emerging web and application technologies.
- Subbing, headline writing.
- You’ll be writing for all four websites, covering various sectors of the tech industry: Memeburn, Gearburn, Ventureburn and Motorburn.
The requirements:
- We’d love someone with a real passion for technology, gadgets, the internet in general, and the digital industry.
- Drive, attitude and a sense of humour.
- Understanding the difference between news writing and feature writing.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- An understanding of social media: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the like.
- Be able to engage in a passionate debate about Apple versus Microsoft, or PlayStation 4 versus Xbox One.
- Be willing to learn to edit your own work and the work of others.
- Be willing to collaborate on stories with other members of the editorial team.
