Trailer: Tom Hardy is Venom in ferocious first look

There’s a feast of Marvel news flooding the internet this week, and we start off with pure hype. Evil, troubled hype. The official trailer for Venom just dropped.

Yes, that’s right. And you’re going to want to sit down for this.

Unveiled at Las Vegas’s CinemaCon on Tuesday, Tom Hardy plays a tough journalist dealing with a new noisy neighbour. But, you know, except, the neighbour’s actually inside him.

Venom has long since been one of Marvel’s more troubling antiheroes, and who better to play it than Hardy?

Also starring in the extended trailer is Michelle Williams (Manchester By the Sea) and Riz Ahmed (Jason Bourne), and Venom (as it’s creepy, gooey, toothy self).
