Anthony Mackie heading to South Africa in September for Comic Con Africa 2019
Anthony Mackie, better known as The Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Papa Doc in 8 Mile, is heading to Comic Con Africa 2019, organisers Reed Exhibitions Africa and ReedPOP announced on Friday.
Mackie, who was supposed to appear at the 2018 edition of Comic Con Africa but was stalled by Hurricane Florence, more recently appeared in Avengers: Endgame, the final chapter of the Infinity Saga.
He will also star in the next season of Netflix’s alternative future series Altered Carbon, and Disney+ exclusive series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Mackie will be present at the event on Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 September 2019. Autograph and photograph opportunities can also be purchased.
Comic Con Africa 2019 will take place in Midrand, Gauteng’s Gallagher Convention Centre from 21 to 24 September 2019.
