Now people all around the world can download the Google Go app
Google’s lightweight app Google Go is now available all over the world, the company revealed in a blog post on Tuesday.
The app is a smaller version of Google that takes up less phone storage while still allowing users to search for information even when they have a flakey internet connection.
Though the app is aimed at users with entry-level smartphones, which are often popular in countries with poor internet, the company has now expanded its availability globally.
“At just over 7MB, Google Go helps make sure your phone stays speedy when you’re traversing the web. It also puts web versions of your favorite apps at your fingertips, giving you the option of downloading fewer apps on your phone,” the company said.
Google Go also features Lens and a read-out-loud feature too, which helps users read words through their phone’s camera and listen to search results or webpages respectively.
Android Lollipop users and upwards can now download Google Go on the Play Store.
