Samsung takes its CES experience on the road
Samsung’s stand was definitely among the biggest and most varied at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Now the Korean Electronics giant has taken it on the road.
Next Stop: Cape Town, 22-25 March.
The Samsung Africa Forum, which will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will also incorporate Cape Town Connect on 25 March – an event that will “feature an exhibition… immersing people in live music performances, chef demos and art”.
According to Deon Liebenberg, MD at Samsung Electronics South Africa, some 2 000 people will get first-hand exposure to the latest tech products from the company and insight into key trends in the consumer electronics space.
“The Connect Cape Town event will deliver the ultimate connection between music, technology, lifestyle and people. Bringing the latest Smart Technology to life, Samsung will immerse consumers in live music performances, art shows and international chef demos to show how technology can enhance how we live, work and play,” he says.
All the products featured at the event will be ones that are available in South Africa.
Alongside the performances, and product demonstrations, the Cape Town Connect will have a social aspect. There will be studio areas where photographers will take professionally lit Facebook profile pictures, which you can have printed out at the event or emailed to your address.
People will also be able to view any of the performances on Cape Town Connect’s Facebook page.
