Angry Birds Space downloaded 10M times in 3 days
If you’re looking for an indication of how big the Angry Birds phenomenon is, you could do much worse than the fact that Rovio’s latest title was downloaded 10-million in the three days following its launch.
The Finnish-based games company sent a tweet out announcing how well Angry Birds Space had done:
10 million Angry Birds Space downloads in less than 3 days! Thanks to our fans, stay tuned for more! #angrybirdsspace

The company launched the first genuine sequel to Angry Birds late last week, bringing new features such as gravitational pull around planets, new birds, and new power ups.
Angry Birds Space went live across multiple platforms — including iOS, Android, PC and Mac app stores — at the same time. It was also the first time Rovio had launched a game and the merchandising tied to it simultaneously.
The one notable exception in platforms included in the roll out was Windows Phone 7, on which Nokia has been hedging its bets.
In a sudden about turn, however, Rovio CEO Michael Hed said the company was “working towards getting Angry Birds Space to WP7.”
According to TheNextWeb, the company’s ‘Mighty Eagle’ Peter Vesterbacka was originally quoted as saying that developing for the OS would be a“big undertaking to support” and would mean having to “completely rewrite the application.”
