Leaked screenshot reveals Google Drive details

A leaked screenshot has revealed some more details about Google’s soon to be released Drive product.

The cloud storage product appears to gives users around 5GB of free storage and the ability to access their files on their PCs, Tablets, mobile devices, and on the web.

Sounds a lot like every other cloud storage product out there. More to the point, it sounds eerily like the service provided by Dropbox.

The only real difference, so far as we can tell is the Google Drive will give you a 3 more Gigs of storage than Dropbox upon registration.

The similarities even reach to the products respected taglines. Dropbox’s is “Your life’s work, wherever you are.” Google’s: “All your files – everywhere.”

Although the product isn’t live yet, Google has already updated its support pages:

Editing documents in the Google Drive Android app requires ongoing syncs to update your documents, which can increase your bandwidth usage. Keep this in mind if you have a limited data plan with your mobile provider.

TheNextWeb speculates that the support for Google Docs indicates that the internet giant may completely rename and relaunch Docs as Google Drive.

GigaOm founder Om Malik reckons that Google Drive will launch in early April.
