Fanboys (and girls) rush on Apple site, pre-orders already sold out
There’s no stopping a fanboy (or girl for that matter). Despite the critical articles and all the memes, pre-orders for the iPhone 5 have already sold out.
Apple’s website is already showing two-week shipping notices across the whole range of iPhones:
Bear in mind that you could only pre-order the phone in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the UK anyway. If you happen to be in one of those countries and want to get your grubby mitts on the iPhone 5 when it lands in retail stores on 21 September, then you’ll have to queue like every one else.
Or you could, you know, wait a little while. It probably won’t kill you. Take the time off work that you would’ve spent in the queue and rather think about why you shouldn’t tie your sense worth to the phone you own.
