Samsung simplifies mobe monikers
Samsung will be renaming its Galaxy range of smartphones which had become more than a little confusing. From now on, the Galaxy phones will fall into one of four classes:
“S” for Super Smart — these devices represents the very best mobile phone Samsung currently offers, such as the Galaxy S II.
“R” for Royal or Refined — these devices represent a combination of speed and power, combined with the added productivity of useful applications.
“M” for Magical — wallet-friendly phones with high-end features.
“Y” for Young — phones aimed at the emerging market or at younger buyers, and will be the ones with the lowest price-point.
Within each of these classes will be variations, Pro, Plus and LTE. Pro models include QWERTY keyboards, Plus models are upgrades to phones already in the market, and LTE models included the new connectivity which works on the 4G network.
