iPhone 5 concept video is chock-full of win
iPhone 5 concepts come and go. Mostly because they are badly produced, technologically vapid and conceptually inept. This video from AatmaStudio is another story though. It’s a polished look at a dream list of features users would love to have in the iPhone 5.
It starts with “ultra thin design”. There have been talks of the iPhone 5 being 0.5mm thinner than the iPhone 4S, so to call a new iPhone ultra thin is a fair stretch. Thin is in, but will Apple pander to Samsung’s skinny methods of mobile design?
Next up, the laser keyboard. The phone is placed flat on a desk and a keyboard is projected from the side. The technology is sound, with products such as the Magic Cube showing how easy it is to create projected keys. But squeezing it into an iPhone? Maybe not, but stranger things have happened in the world of Apple. For iPhone 4/4S users, they can grab this device if the wait is too long for a concept laser keyboard.
Finally, and most unrealistically is the holographic display. The battery requirements alone push this concept far into the future. Sure, Samsung has created a projector smartphone, but a holographic display is too much to ask for. Cool idea though. It’s unlikely that any of these technologies will make it to the iPhone 5 but hey, at least the video looks snazzy. What more can an Apple fan ask for?
