iOS versions of PowerPoint and Outlook in the works
And it’s all according to these two job postings from Microsoft.
This one. Aaaaaand this one. For those not keen on reading the full listing, the most telling sign within the job as is this: “You will work very closely with the Development team on the design, implementation, & testing of new feature work to be part of Microsoft’s next move on the Mac and on iOS.” Microsoft’s next move, perhaps its smartest move, is to squeeze Outlook and PowerPoint into iOS.
The same line is repeated in both job postings.
With Office for iPad all but confirmed, the addition of an iOS PowerPoint and Outlook makes logical sense. While powerful, Outlook is fairly clunky on PC. A streamlined version of this mail app would set geeks hearts on fire.
