Samsung Galaxy S Duo gets European release

It might look very similar to the S III and you’ll be hard pressed to tell them apart, but the new Galaxy S Duo is certainly not the flagship prize-fighter that the S III is, but more of a mixed martial arts all-rounder.

It is built for a growing market of people who are sick of using two mobile phones, one for work one for home. The Duo is just that, a mobile phone with two SIM card slots, both being used concurrently. So you don’t have to juggle phones, not knowing which one is calling you, nor do you have to swap the SIM cards out after work. They are both active, and you can even be messaging someone with the one, whilst taking calls with the other.

Because of this convenience, the processor and screen in particular take knocks. It only has a 1 GHz processor and a 4-inch 480 x 800 screen. It does run Android 4.0, though, so at least you won’t be far behind the times. However, with only 4GB of storage and a 5MP camera at the back, music and photos aren’t going to be the priority use of the S Duo.
