The best of Google: Nexus 10 with 1.7 GHz CPU launches
Google has just announced the Nexus 10, a ten-inch tablet with Android 4.2 and a quad-core CPU. Here’s the details on what is sure to be another excellent Nexus device:
Samsung’s partnered with Google to make the Nexus 10, a tablet with the “world’s best resolution” at 2560×1600. Yes that beats the iPad 4. That’s 300PPI which for a tablet is beyond exceptional. Battery life is a promised nine hours or more, with 500-hours standby time.
There are front-facing stereo speakers, “improved” Google Now services and a bunch of smart new Android features such as Photo Sphere, which creates 360-degree shots and Gesture Writing which “lets you glide your finger over the letters you want to type on the keyboard—it makes typing fast, fun and a whole lot simpler”.
The Nexus 10 is relatively inexpensive and is available soon, says Google’s blog:
16GB for US$399; 32GB for US$499 and it’s available on 11/13 in the Google Play Store in U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan.
Now let’s see what Microsoft has in store for us later.
