Korea can now snag Samsung’s $38k 85-inch Ultra HD TV

CES 2013 was the cotillion for ultra-HD TV’s and Samsung, the company who demoed one of the largest ultra-HD TV’s at the show has now placed its 85-inch, quad-core TV up for pre-order in Korea. And all that tech can be yours, for the veritably inexpensive price of US$38 000.

85 inches of FUTURE!So what are we getting for just shy of US$40-k?. As mentioned there’s a quad-core CPU running the 214cm TV, 2.2 channel speakers and the “we’re not ready for it” 4K screen resolution bolstered by the “Precision Black Pro LCD panel”. Samsung also has 95 and 110-inch versions of the same TV, but the bean-counters are predictably working out yet another unaffordable price.
