Power your way to victory in the best Top Gear competition… in the world. Some say it’s the most amazing motoring show in existence. All we know is that we’re giving away a set of two classic tickets to this year’s Top Gear Festival in Durban, South Africa to one Gearburn reader.
The two-day motoring craziness with the crew from Top Gear takes place on 15 and 16 June at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, and includes a live stadium show, a street circuit packed with stunts and iconic cars, as well as an exhibition of gadgets and some of the rarest, most expensive vehicles ever to touch tarmac.
And on that bombshell, it’s time to enter.
What you have to do:
1. Head along to the Top Gear Festival website and find out which Top Gear presenter almost didn’t make it to this year’s event.
2. Give some thought to this question: ‘What does The Stig eat for breakfast?’
3. Tweet us the answers to both these questions along with the hashtag #TopGearburn.
The competition closes on Monday 3 June 17H00 CAT and the winner should live in Durban (or be able to travel to the event). The tickets are valid for Sunday 16 June only. Full terms and conditions below:

1. Period of competition
This competition starts on 27 May 2013 and will run until 3 June 2013 (both days inclusive).
2. Who can enter this competition
This competition is open to all South African residents who are 18 years and older, who have answered the question correctly – namely, commented on The Stig’s breakfast choices and named the presenter who almost didn’t make the festival AND tweeted those answers with the hashtag #TopGearburn.
3. Who cannot enter this competition
No director, employee, agent or consultant of Brand Events Festivals (Pty) Ltd t/a Top Gear Festival, or their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members, or the supplier of goods and services in connection with this competition may participate in this competition.
No person who is not resident in South Africa or under the age of 18 years is allowed to enter this competition.
4. How to enter this competition

Only one entry is permitted per person entering, subject to the entry requirements.6. Disqualified entries
Entries which are unclear, illegible, and incorrect or contain errors will be declared invalid and will not be considered for the draw. Entries that do not comply with the rule and regulations of the competition*.

7. When and how the draw will take place
If your tweet has been selected we will contact you on Twitter for your details (Name, contact number etc). The Gearburn editorial judges will have say as to whose entry is correct and the most creative. Winners will be contacted, and their information sent to The Top Gear Festival Management who will issue tickets to the winner.
8. How will winners be contacted
The winners will be notified via Twitter and a confirmation email within one week from the draw having taken place. In the event that any of the winners cannot be successfully contacted following reasonable attempts to do so, Brand Events Festivals (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to select another winner in substitution two weeks after the initial draw had taken place.
9. Publishing of winner’s name
The names of any winners of a prize may be published in our social media campaign or on our website.
10. Further participation after close of competition
Winners may be required to participate in a Brand Events Festivals (Pty) Ltd publicity campaign, which may include, but is not limited to print or broadcast media and further to allow their names and likeliness to be used by Brand Events Festivals (Pty) Ltd for promotional purposes in any of its publicity campaigns. Winners are, however, entitled to expressly decline such a request.
Where winners consent to take part in Brand Events Festival (Pty) Ltd publicity campaigns, they will not be entitled to any remuneration for such participation and all materials used in and arising from such participation will be the sole property of Brand Events Festival (Pty) Ltd.
11. Entry submission failures
Brand Events Festival (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any technical element relating to this competition which may prevent the transmission of an email, SMS or tweet, nor will it be held liable for any failure by the South African Post Office or any other Service Provider in delivering an entry. Participants accept that there is a possibility that an email, SMS or tweeted entry may not have been properly transmitted or that the South African Post Office may omit to deliver an entry before the closing date. In all these instances the participant will not hold Brand Events Festival (Pty) Ltd responsible and liable.
12. Acceptance of rules
Rules and Regulations
• The selection process shall be managed by the Gearburn editorial team, subject to approval of the Top Gear Festival Management.
• The collection of the tickets will remain the responsibility of the winner, although clear instructions will be given to the winner, once selected.
• Top Gear Festival Management, Brand Events Festival (Pty) Ltd or Burn Media (Gearburn) will not be responsible for travel to and from the event.
• The classic tickets are only valid for the Sunday (16 June 2013) only.
• Tickets are not redeemable for cash, or alternative day passes.
• The judge’s decision is final. No appeal process will be acknowledged or considered.
• No entries submitted via Twitter, or otherwise, after the closing date of the competition (3 June 2013) will be considered.
• Right of admission is reserved. Top Gear Festival Management and the Gearburn editorial team reserve the right to re-select a winner if the winner is guilty of any of the following:
o Slander towards the Top Gear Festival Management team, Gearburn or any of the sponsors involved in the festival, both pre and post draw.
o Incorrect information, contact or residency details submitted.
o Discrediting any sponsor or company involved in the festival via any means whatsoever.
o Gaining the answer to the question from the hashtag and not the Top Gear Festival Site.• By entering this competition or agreeing to accept any prize, the winner of such a prize accepts and agrees to abide by these rules.
