New iPhones, iPads and iMacs shipping ‘soon’ says tech fortune-teller
Apple’s products are desirable, expensive and will infuriatingly be in “short supply” in the near future, says 9to5mac. iPhones, iPads and MacBooks are all getting a fresh lick of paint, with slimmer designs and faster internals says Ming-Chi-Kuo, an analyst who has well over 4.3-million Google searches associated with his name. Does this make him legit? Probably not, but it sure as shit makes him popular. Let’s see what he has to say.
Kuo begins with the iBarbie (cheap and plastic iPhone), which he says will debut early September as a “low-cost, plastic” model. Price is expected to be between US$450 – 500.
As for the iPhone 5S, it’s going to be in very short supply, due in no small part to the heavily rumoured fingerprint sensor causing the supply issues. Supplies are said to improve by October/November.
The iPad’s getting into the thinner, lighter vibe and according to the report, it will “mirror” many of the design elements found in the ultra-sexy iPad Mini. The new iPad will ship 13-million units this September.
Speaking of the iPad Mini (we were speaking about it, right?), both an A7 CPU with Retina Display and A5 model will make it to the market “in the near future”. Kuo expects the both models to not even see the light of day until 2014 though, as production only starts in December.
The Retina Display MacBook Pro and iMacs will see the fewest shipments, with 1.6 and 1.7-million units shipping respectively. Expect to see a new iMac August and beefier, better MacPro September.
