SA adventure crawler Desktop Dungeons lands on Steam
After a good couple of years in Beta, South African fantasy-based adventure crawler Desktop Dungeons has landed on Steam.
In an official blog post, the game’s developers QCFDesign acknowledge that its full release “has been a long time coming” but add that building the game “has truly been an unrivalled experience”.
According to the creators, anyone who’s bought the Beta version as a pre-order can access a complimentary Desktop Dungeons Steam key. Once they’ve done that, they’ll be able to link their Steam account to their existing game profile and continue from where they left off.
The game is available for PC and Mac, via the Desktop Dungeons website and Steam. It’s also one of the more promising games to have come out of South Africa in recent years, having won the award for Excellence in Design at the 2011 IGF awards.
