‘Mortal Kombat X’ thankfully won’t melt your two-year-old PC
If you’re in the middle of building a PC for the feast of gaming titles coming your way in 2015, you might want to cross check you parts’ limitations with the games you’re intending to play. Additionally, if you’re a fan of the Mortal Kombat series, and planning to purchase the PC version once its released, you’ll want to read on.
The system requirements for Mortal Kombat X has been released on the game’s Steam page, and they look rather timid compared to what we’ve seen from The Witcher 3 and Evolve.
The minimum specifications read as follows:
OS: 64-bit: Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
CPU: Intel Core i5-750, 2.67 GHz or AMD Phenom X4 965, 3.4 GHz
RAM: 3GB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5850
Storage: 25GB available space
Of course, prospective players also need DirectX 11 installed, and a relatively fast internet connection to go along with it.
Recommended specifications look a bit beefier, but this game should be nothing for computers built within the past year, or even two years in fact.
OS: 64-bit: Windows 7, Windows 8
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
RAM: 8GB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
Storage: 40GB available space
It’s not at all bad then. The graphics promise to be incredible too (at least on Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game). So for those gearing up for one of the games of the year, you have until 14 April to get those gaming boxes gleaming.
What do you think about the requirements? Can you play Mortal Kombat X? Let us know in the comments.
