Huawei Mate S now available in South Africa for R11k
South African cellular provider Vodacom has announced it will be offering the Huawei Mate S phablet through its physical and online stores for R11 969 from today, undercutting the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the process.
The phablet, launched at IFA 2015, was Huawei‘s first device to feature a Force Touch-like touchscreen which competes against the iPhone 6S’s 3D Touch system.
Other internal specifications include a HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

The phone will be offered in two colours, mystic champagne and titanium grey and will likely change the perception of Huawei doubters the world over. But of course, that remains to be seen.
The phone will also be offered in on a Vodacom Smart S contract for R529 per month for 24 months.
