Mi-Fone launches low cost Android phone to African markets
Mi-Fone is perhaps not as well known in South Africa as it is in other parts of the continent, but the company has today announced its new Android smartphone range. The Mi-Fone 3 will retail for just US$35, which will make it Africa’s “lowest priced Android smartphone,” according to the company.
The device, available in Kenya, Angola, Rwanda and Nigeria among other African nations, features dual SIM support, and a 3.5-inch screen. Two feature phones also join the lineup, as well as an additional four smartphones running Android variants.
“The range includes features phones and Smartphones and are designed to put quality devices in the hands of African consumers,” Mi-Fone founder Alpesh Patel explains in the press release.

The phones will be available in South Africa “very shortly” while other African markets can get their hands on the devices via Mi-Fone’s official website.
